McKinney “won”, but I didn’t think it was for what she said as much as for how she said it. I thought she spent more energy asking us to look back on what she did in Congress than what she might do going forward.
Similarly, I heard “Head Rock” coming out of Ball’s mouth in every other sentence, and, um, who cares.
Too bad we couldn’t combine Mesplay’s ideas with Johnson’s showmanship.
I quoted Swift as saying: “When you speak the truth to people, they will come, and they will vote,” which seems less self-serving than “If you speak the truth, people will vote” (above). I hope I got the quote right.
