I had the great fortune of seeing Cynthia McKinney speak at the Annual National Meeting of the Green Party of the United States this past summer and then meeting her at the SOA Watch event last weekend. Cynthia McKinney, who is seeking the Green Party of the United States Presidential Nomination, attended the School of the Americas Watch Event on Sunday, November 18, 2007. She was a featured speaker on the stage. She was also among those who led the funeral procession after the funeral service.

She’s with you?
I don’t think having McKinney on your team will help move forward any of the issues you care about. She doesn’t have much credibility with people who aren’t already in lock-step with her. She’s got an interesting mixture of very progressive politics, but mixed with conspiracy theories that lead us to question her grip on reality. If I were in the Green Party, I’d be on the hunt for a better candidate than this.
