The commencement at my school will take place June 11th. This will be the third gradaution ceremony that we have held at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake.
This year the staff has been requested to wear the commencement garb from their latest degree. The purpose being to make this event a “really big deal” to our students. Yikes! Where did I put that hood? I’ve never had to wear it since I obtained my masters degree in 1991.
Rest assured, I have discovered, there are companies that will find out what the hood or “outfit” is from your institution, will get it, and rent it to you.
What a business!
